DEATH TYPE – A Poem

Two of our longtime contributors, Ultra Tetra and Shy, team up to bring you a new, illustrated piece of post-apocalyptic poetry. This is "DEATH TYPE."

DEATH TYPE - A poem by Shy.

The world is going to end
And in my darkest of hearts
I hope to God I hope to God
That it's death is the fast death

The 'so quick we barely knew it was time to panic' type death
The death with energetic sirens
Ushering in drills
we no longer taught
for we only heard the sirens in fiction

Those who hear get to know
But the rest have no idea
And every excuse
to live in bliss

To savor the last moment
anyone ever had
By accident

Let it be the fast death
Not the aching slow death
Oh God Oh God
The one where
hell comes for us

Wrought with heat
Wrought with sweat
Sweat sweat sweat
Rising and drowning
And sorrowfully salty

Where we watch
As we cling to the
Murderous rubble
As it kills
everything around us
Saving us for last

No I hope it is the quick death
The Pompeii part ii DEATH
The lovely picturesque death
Frozen in time death
Hand on my dick death
THE NEVER ALONE AGAIN DEATH
