Liim Lasalle is an up-and-coming alt-pop/R&B artist out of NYC. He's got the makings of a great: the kid's innovative, funny-as-hell, stylish, and he has some crazy pipes on him. His beats ooze the culture of Harlem and NYC hip-hop. He's got shoutouts from Tyler, the Creator and interviews with Hypebeast and HIGHSNOBIETY.

Liim's also got no shortage of great tracks. He's followed up last year's excellent "Liim Lasalle Loves You" with a string of summer hits to support the release of his new album, "A Sunflower Garden In Harlem Is Hard To Find." Is Loving Really Bad?

Liim writes a mean love song, but he might be even better at writing about longing.. and we get it: being in your early 20s is confusing and emotional. The layered vocal harmonies, plucky instruments, and youthful lyrics are a beautiful trifecta on this one.

1980 (ft. AJRadico)

This is the latest (and last) single to be released for Liim's new album. He's also joined by his brother, AJRadico, on the track. The song itself nails that vintage, '80s b-boy style of hip-hop. Liim cites Eric B. & Rakim's "Paid in Full" and Hype Williams' "Belly" as major influences on this video. The visuals are crunchy and steeped in cool kid NYC culture. No one rocks Supreme like Liim!
