Yo. Last year we started our tradition, Zine-o-Rama, over on Itch.io. Let's take a look back at some of my favorite submissions from last year, and don't forget to join HOUDINI Magazine's Zine-o-Rama II, starting in 2 days! Call 'em the Slug's choice!

🎮 Play Here // My personal favorite zine of the jam is filled to the brim with surveillance-steeped imagery and rapid-fire poetry. It's a mishmash of early oughts cybertrinkets crunched through a dithering machine, dunked in dystopia, and soaked in all-too-relatable interpersonal verse. Thank me later for the "Access Granted" to a pleasing visual experience.

🎮 Play Here // This is definitely the most technically-impressive zine out of the lot. The inking is masterful, the framing of the whole thing is perfect, and the "nuclear bomb to mindblowing 1970s digital typography" pivot is the best ever ending to a comic. Even without all this, I'm honestly just a big sucker for a well-done cartoon of a sentient computer monitor. What more can I say?

🎮 Play Here // This zine just oozes charm. It shows that a simple idea (or resource) can be transformed into something far more interesting with minimal input by a skilled artist. This zine would look great in any color palette, but I just love the choice to choose blown-out monochrome red. Excellent stuff here; don't miss it!
